For those in the local area, we are also excited to announce that we have a great in-person event to invite you to! The American Red Cross is lighting their National Headquarters RED, ahead of World Sickle Cell Day, on the evening of June 16. The HU Center for Sickle Cell Disease, the Sickle Cell Association of the National Capital Area, Inc., and the Sickle Cell Coalition of Maryland are working together to sponsor two charter buses (one from the Largo Metro Station and the other from the Howard University/Shaw Metro Station) to take individuals to the Red Cross building in downtown DC.
